Chapter 101 The Impressive Sincerity
Edward's face did not blush with embarrassment at all as he said "I like her. That's enough", which made Beth silent suddenly. She stared at him without blinking.
Edward said, "When your brother joined the company, he said he wanted me to take him to make money. It was not that I didn't have the money so as to force him to invest. He has not been at home these years. I gave him all dividends he deserves to take. He never horned in on my business. Now since you want to interfere, I can only give him a lump sum of shares. Beth hadn't recovered from the shock of the previous sentence when Edward insinuated that she was an "outsider". She had a sullen face, pretending to be calm. She wanted to complain bitterly, but she didn't dare to speak, fearing that she would lose her temper and lose the battle.
