Alexander hasn't called me in a week, and when I went to see my father in the hospital, my mother was happy since the hospital claimed the director would cover all costs because he used to be my father's friend. But I understand why; Alexander created this strategy to ensure that people believed what they needed to believe.
And our dirty little secrets will always be a secret.
"Yeah, when we pray and retain faith in him, good things always happen." My mother replied, her finger pointing to the sky.
"Yeah…" I gave a soft chuckle and glanced at my father, who was fast asleep and I don't have any idea when he will be awake. I miss his voice, the way he ran his business, and the fact that those days when he came to our house, he was glad to inform us that he had gained new clients. I miss those days, I'm just wondering when is going to happen again.
When I saw Alexander strolling into the hallway, "I will be right back, mom." I said as I walked out of the room.
