Desiree's POV
I arrived at the house while tiptoeing. I can't sleep at my new apartment because it is still under renovation because I want some of the furniture to be new. The lights were open and I saw my sister staring at me with a wide eye. Why is she sleeping here? She must return to her home in Canada; she is no longer welcome here for me.
"Hi sister! Where have you been?" she asks me, she looks so annoying and I tell her to shut her mouth because my mom and dad are sleeping right now and I don't want to disturb him.
"Shut up!" I hissed at her, "Oh…" she teased me while saying 'oh' in a playful tone.
"I guess you were with him, which is why I'm so unhappy since you always take what is mine. He's already been mine from the moment I laid my eyes on him," she remarked. In low tones,
I give her a sidelong glance, but I keep walking upstairs since I don't have the energy to engage her irrational assumptions.
"Where are you going? I'm still talking to you…"
