“Chloe,” my voice was calm, “you are absolutely right. The strike system was flawed. It gave Julian far too many chances to make mistakes, and it obligated me to forgive him far too many times.”
I walked towards the press section and took a thick notebook out of my bag.
“But you are wrong about one thing,” I said, opening the notebook. “This is not a record of ‘emotional blackmail.’ This is my medical journal.”
