Cassia pushed his hands away, her eyes holding an unreadable emotion. She sighed and tried to placate him. "Aidan, you don't have to be like this. We'll have one in the future."
Aidan's voice was soft, almost petulant. "But Cassia, I'm so afraid of losing you."
He hugged her tightly, his arms squeezing as if he were afraid she'd dissipate like a mist. He rested his chin on her shoulder.
