Kaelen stood frozen, his mind struggling to process what was happening.
The male model next to Cassia sauntered over to him with a smile.
"Mr. Rivers, you have such a great foundation. As long as you can let yourself go and take good care of the ladies, you'll definitely make a fortune in our line of work."
As he spoke, the man lifted Kaelen’s chin.
Kaelen didn't get angry. He just looked at the man with pity. "Once you've made your money, I hope you can go and live the life you truly want."
He understood that many in this profession were forced into it.
The man's smiling face stiffened for a moment before he recovered.
"Mr. Rivers, still so high and mighty. How do you know this isn't the life I want?"
With that, he sat back down beside Cassia.
Right in front of Kaelen, the man deliberately wrapped an arm around Cassia’s waist.
Cassia impassively removed his hand. "Kaelen, I remember at our wedding, you said you were going to dance for me."
"Tonight, our guests are here. You will dance, right here, until I and our guests are satisfied."
At our wedding…
Kaelen remembered how long he had prepared for his wedding with Cassia.
He had even taken dance lessons, planning to surprise her on their wedding night.
But that night, she had just laughed coldly. "Kaelen, I only married you to get the Rivers' assets. Trying to please me is pointless."
That day had been a disaster.
There was none of the love and sweetness he had imagined, only endless taking.
He wasn't her husband; he was more like her bedwarmer.
Snapping back to the present, he heard the catcalls of the wealthy women around him. They all wanted to see him humiliated.
After the events of the past few days, Kaelen felt he had no shame left to lose.
In front of everyone, he began to dance.
He wasn't a professional dancer, but because Cassia had once been obsessed with K-pop, he had learned for a long time.
Now, as he danced, he was no less skilled than any idol who had debuted.
Cassia hadn't known he could dance so well, so handsomely.
But the thought of his actions brought a cold glint to her eyes.
"What's the fun in just dancing like that? Do you know what a striptease is?"
Kaelen’s eyes froze.
He endured it, dancing while he began to remove his clothes…
The women in the room watched in disbelief, shocked by how handsome he was, how good his body looked.
Just before the last piece of clothing fell, Cassia finally spoke. "Enough!"
She strode forward and dragged Kaelen out of the room.
"Have you completely abandoned all sense of shame?"
Kaelen stared at her blankly. "Do I have any shame left?"
Cassia’s grip on his wrist tightened.
But Kaelen seemed to feel no pain. "Cassia, we've been married for three years, right? I'm your husband. Do you think it's right to treat me this way?"
His eyes were filled with a sorrow so deep it felt like a thousand needles stabbing at Cassia.
She flung his hand away.
"Did I or did I not tell you how important Aidan is to me? You could have targeted anyone. Why did it have to be him?"
Kaelen stumbled backward, barely catching his balance.
He no longer wanted to explain.
Seeing his silence, Cassia took it as an admission of guilt, and any last shred of remorse vanished.
"From now on, you'll come here to work every night! You'll do whatever the others do!"
Kaelen couldn't say a word.
He wanted to ask, if others slept with clients, was he expected to as well?
After Cassia left, Kaelen’s mind was a blur.
He walked forward aimlessly and bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry."
Kaelen apologized immediately.
"Kaelen Rivers?" a familiar female voice sounded.
Kaelen looked up, his eyes filled with confusion.
