I thought about what happened that afternoon after Laura left my room, pretending to have a stomach ache was Isabella's idea but the way Laura rushed into the room gave me a pause, the way she kept asking me what is wrong and where it hurts even though she was mad at me earlier shows how caring she is.
I intended to go after her and talk to her properly but my PA called and asked me to attend to some important business documents that were urgently needed.
It took me hours to get it done, I could not even go downstairs to join them for dinner, Ethan came to my room to check up on me before he left for his place but I was still going through the documents then, I eventually finished around 10 pm.
I went downstairs to see that everyone had gone to their rooms, I was going to go back upstairs when I heard a sound in the kitchen, I went there to see my mom taking a glass of water.
"Ma," I called and she turned to look at me.
"Liam, how are you doing?"
