Chapter 7 The Sequela of Lightning Marriage
When Teresa arrived at Florence Garden, it was already after midnight.
She opened the door and went in the house, finding it was dark inside with no sign of being a home.
Hubert's house was not warm at all probably because he was very busy with his work and often travelled on business.
After going into the house, Teresa looked around first and made sure Hubert didn't come back. She guessed he must have stayed in the company since he didn't return home until midnight.
So Teresa locked the door. After a thought, she searched everywhere in the house for Hubert's shoes and then found a pair of his slippers after a long time of careful search.
She put his slippers at the door, locked the door again, turned off the light in the living room and went to her bedroom.
