Chloe pulled her horse to a stop in front of the torn-apart building, unmounted, and began to move towards it, dry leaves crunching under her black boots. She exhaled under the moonlight and straightened her blue leather jacket.

Getting inside the quiet temple and all she could hear after the whooshing sound of the wind was the crickets and her heartbeat. The further she moved inside, the darker it became. Just like her life. When she had told Maya that she forgave her already if she let Lyne go, it was only to protect her niece and the baby. She never had the intent to forgive the one who murdered her sister. How could she forget such? A sister she had been looking for fourteen years turned out to have been brutally murdered by this Spanish ninja that happened to be her mother-in-law. Ironic. She didn't expect that to happen.

She heard a shuffling movement behind her and she turned but was met with staunch darkness. She needed to go further to get to the room with an open roof to get enough light.

"I know you're in here." She kept walking, claws out and striking the wall as she did.

"And I'm just here to inform you that I haven't forgiven you, at all."
