<p>After Chloe finished talking to Lyne, she headed back to her room and hoped that Lyne will stay with Zeidan in the palace. She was very happy that she was not dead after all. She wanted to tell Lyne about what was truly going on and where she was headed but she will only try and stop her. She was hell bent on taking revenge on the notorious killer. She had been looking for ways to kill her all these while and finally Luana had found a way. She could not let anyone or anything get in the way of that or try to talk her out of it. There was no way she will allow that to happen. </p>
<p>Things were more complicated now and she knows Lyne will get to know with time, only that she might not be there anymore. She did not really know what Luana had in mind to tell her about how to kill Maya the Spanish Ninja. She was finally going to get her revenge on her. She got herself ready for anything. Perhaps Luana had tracked her down and they were both going to hunt Maya down. She saddled her horse and rode to the partly torn apart temple. She did not see anyone in front of the temple when she got there. She got down from her horse and tied it to the pillar near the entrance. </p>
<p>The door of the temple was wide open. She drew her sword from its scabbard and she slowly walked into the temple. It was dark and quiet in the hall of the temple. She came into the opening at the back of the cella, looked around to see if Luana was there. Now convinced that Luana was not there yet and no sign of anyone else, she returned her sword back into its scabbard and turned to go back outside to wait for Luana to get there. Immediately she turned, someone charged towards her from a dark corner of a pillar to her left and she flipped herself backwards in an acrobatic manner pulling her sword out in style. She landed and one of her knee was on the ground with her sword pointing towards the person that had attacked her. By now her eyes had gotten used to the darkness and she saw the person.</p>
<p>“Maya?” She asked as she was expecting to see Luana instead. How on earth did Maya know she was here? Maybe she had been spying on her without her knowing about it. She stood up slowly still holding her sword firmly. She was standing with her feet and shoulder width apart, chin down, and eyes straight focused on Maya.</p>
<p>“What are you doing here?” She asked further and instead of getting a reply, Maya launched another attack with her sword. She jumped in the air aiming for Chloe’s head and she stepped back swiftly a little bit to block it with her own sword. The contact the two swords made almost made her own sword fall off her palms as they were sweaty and slippery. She immediately swung her sword as if trying to slice Maya’s abdomen in half but she dodged it by throwing herself backwards. It made the sword make a whooshing sound in the process. She flung her arms and extended her sword to aim for her neck as she was chasing Maya who was retreating as she was defending and avoiding Chloe’s sword from making contact with her skin. The sword missed her head and throat and landed on one pillar of the temple. The stony bricks of the pillar chopped off from the effect and got into Chloe’s eyes. She dared not keep her eyes closed as she knows what could come next. Maya used that advantage to land a kick on her temple and she fell to the ground. She struggled to see the sword aiming at her as she was on the ground and she rolled away from it. She threw her sword towards Maya and she eased back a little giving her the space and the time she needed to stand up and get back into the fight.</p>
<p>She took a firm stance this time around. She felt her arms and shoulders tiring and she was now sweating from the fierce battle. Chloe tried to think about the reason why Maya was attacking her. Did she find out about what her plans to kill her was? Then she asked as she eased her sword with Maya standing opposite her few inches apart. </p>
<p>“I thought we were friends, Maya.” Chloe said deceitfully in a bid to know why Maya was attacking her because deep down she had a different motif towards Maya. </p>
