<p>Lyne sat still on the bed with her arms wrapped around Tina's cold body when the elevator dinged and Zeidan rushed in. He was looking just as pale as she felt but she was glad he was around. As soon as he got inside, he slowed his pace and walked to her side where he crouched and placed a gentle hand on the girl's forehead.</p>

<p>"She didn't deserve this," Lyne muttered, tears rolling down her cheeks with every word she said. "She was just a cherry kid who was just embracing life. Unfortunately, life decided to throw its hurdles at her. Doing what it knows how to do best. Being cruel."</p>

<p>Before she knew it, Zeidan sat on the edge of the bed and swung an arm around her, pulling her in an embrace. </p>

<p>"You're right. She deserves the best and not this. But you've got to know it wasn't your fault."</p>
