Celia dropped the mic and swept away with her entourage.
She could feel his scorching gaze on her back, but she didn't care anymore.
Only three days left, and she would be gone from this world for good.
She had served Flynn tirelessly for five years. She could endure three more days. It was only fair.
…
Celia partied at the club until midnight. When she returned to her suite, she saw 88 missed calls from Flynn.
She answered the 89th call. "Mr. Caldwell, I thought you were so busy with your company. How did you find the time to call me 88 times today? What's wrong? Is Caldwell Corp going bankrupt?"
"Celia!"
Flynn's voice on the other end was glacial. "Get your ass back here and take away the trash you left in the bedroom!"
Celia paused for a moment, then replied casually, "If it's trash, then just throw it out."
There was a choke on the other end of the line. Flynn seemed unprepared for her response, his tone laced with disbelief. "Weren't all the gifts I gave you your most precious treasures, locked away in the bedroom safe? You're willing to just throw them away?"
Celia's hand tightened around her phone.
See? Flynn knew exactly how much she had once loved him, yet he had shamelessly trampled on that love to elevate Evelyn.
Even though the pain was supposed to be blocked, her heart still twinged.
She clutched her chest and let out a self-deprecating laugh. "When you have no heart, there's nothing you can't let go of."
With that, she hung up the phone.
And Flynn, as if he had lost his mind, started calling again, one after another.
But Celia no longer had the strength to answer. She passed out to the sound of the incessantly ringing phone.
…
When Celia woke up again, the System announced: 【Time remaining until Host's departure from this world: 12:00:00】
She had been unconscious for days.
She was about to leave this cold, loveless world.
Perhaps it was a final surge of energy, but Celia suddenly felt strong. 【System, after you take me away, will my body in this world disappear too?】
The System replied: 【Yes.】
So, Celia gathered all her identification documents and went to the city records office.
"Hello, I'd like to file to have my legal identity voided."
The clerk gave her a strange look. Celia smiled and explained, "I have a terminal illness. I'm going to die soon. My family has disowned me. I'm afraid no one will handle my affairs after I'm gone, so I'm taking care of it in advance."
The clerk reviewed the hospital documents Celia provided and processed the paperwork.
An hour later, Celia walked out, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders.
When she got back, she turned on her phone and saw that she was trending again.

#Celia Thorne Terminally Ill#
The comments on her social media were once again a warzone.
"Erase her identity? I don't believe for a second she'd actually die. She's just trying to stir up drama right before her sister's wedding. Is she that disgusting?"
"All day, every day, it's either a new meltdown or a fake death wish. I'm sick of seeing her name. The sewers are cleaner than her reputation!"
"A venomous, manipulative snake like you, who even your own parents rushed to disown, your death would be a cause for global celebration!"
…
The comments were a stream of pure hatred, each more creative than the last.
Celia sighed. She was just trying to quietly disappear before she left, not bothering anyone. These people were so aggressive.
Notifications kept popping up. Celia was getting tired of it and was about to turn off her phone when Flynn's name suddenly filled the screen.
"Celia, why did you go and do that? Have you lost your mind?"
