"Where are my phone and laptop?" Ellie bombarded me as soon as I enter the nursery room.
"Ellie, it's best if you will focus your time with our children," I said.
She glared at me.
"I'm not stupid, Ulie. I know why did you hide my phone and laptop. I am not weak as you think." She said in a cold voice.
I knew she would be angry at me. I don't want her to be hurt.
"I know, but let me handle this," I said, full of concern.
"I don't need you to fight my battles. I have been doing this alone, and I handled it perfectly well."
