Finn and I sat on the steps of the watchtower, sharing a Navajo wool blanket. The desert night sky was like a black velvet cloth sprinkled with diamond dust.
"They like you," Finn said, his arm resting casually on the step behind me, his fingers toying with a strand of my hair.
