Seeing people agreeing with her, Phoenix's eyes flashed with glee before she continued sobbing.
"Holy Maiden, I saw Damien ask you to cancel the engagement with the King. Why did you refuse?"
"You can't use your position as the siren Holy Maiden to bully others and destroy relationships!"
I almost laughed from anger. These two just had to disgust me one after another.
In my past life, I never met Phoenix. I'd been curious about what kind of woman Damien's childhood love was, someone who could make him pine for her for years.
Turns out she was this manipulative, a perfect match for the heartless Damien.
I took several deep breaths to swallow my rage.
"I told you, I'm not marrying Damien. No one's fighting you for your trash."
Like Damien, Phoenix clearly didn't believe me.
"Holy Maiden, stop lying to yourself. Everyone saw how devoted you were to Damien these past months."
"Your harsh words now are just jealousy because Damien chose me!"
You can't reason with stupid people. I tried to push past her and leave.
But with just a light touch, Phoenix immediately fell down like a broken kite.
Her arm scraped against stones, leaving bloody scratches.
I instinctively moved to help her up, but Damien came charging over and kicked me away.
I couldn't dodge in time and got hit in the stomach, hearing him roar through the pain.
"B**ch! You call yourself a Holy Maiden? Is bullying the weak your clan's style?"
I curled up in pain as Damien tenderly gathered Phoenix into his arms.
"You're already weak. Why did you come all this way just to get hurt?"
Aria helped me stand while I sneered coldly.
"Weak? In hundreds of years, I've never seen a werewolf who falls from a gentle push."
"If she's this fragile, maybe she should be recycled."
Damien looked impatient. "Bella, you'd better stop. Don't think bullying Phoenix will make me compromise and marry you. It only makes me hate you more!"
I laughed coldly. "Then hate me more."
Damien froze, about to respond.
I slowly opened my mouth, and my gentle song began.
Instantly, both their faces went deathly pale, cold sweat pouring down.
As the siren Holy Maiden, I had the strongest spiritual power in my clan.
My voice was like a weapon, capable of enchanting minds and causing unbearable pain.
Phoenix only lasted a few seconds before sweat soaked her clothes. She collapsed, covering her ears and begging for mercy.
Damien wasn't much better, gritting his teeth to endure.
"Bella, stop now and apologize to Phoenix. I'll let today slide."
I looked at him coldly and made my voice louder.
Now it seemed like he should be the one begging.
Damien clenched his teeth until blood trickled from his mouth, his fists creaking.
Finally, he couldn't hold on and dropped to his knees before me.
I cheerfully stopped singing and looked down at them.
"Dare to offend me in my territory? Look at what you are first."
I turned away in disgust and strode off.
Back in my familiar chambers, curled up on my bed, my mood still hadn't improved much.
I touched my intact throat, feeling waves of fear.
In my past life, I'd wandered into wolf territory and been surrounded by dozens of feral wolves, nearly dying.
Damien appeared and saved me, thoughtfully escorting me home.
He was the Alpha, powerful and handsome. I inevitably fell for him.
After marriage, though he was somewhat cold, I thought that was just his personality.
I never imagined he was using me the entire time.
I wondered if he felt the same about his precious Phoenix.
I shook my head, not wanting to think about it. Since heaven gave me a second chance, I wouldn't repeat my mistakes this time.
The next day, I went to pay my respects to the King as usual.
Passing the garden, I heard familiar voices.
"Ryan, did I do something wrong to make the Holy Maiden so angry?"
I carefully hid behind the bushes and saw Damien tenderly holding Phoenix.
"She's just abusing her power. Bear with it for now. Once she leaves siren territory, I'll capture her for you to deal with as you please."
I clenched my fists unconsciously, swallowing my surging anger.
Phoenix couldn't help but look pleased, then put on a fake concerned voice.
"But the Snow Wolves are attacking soon. If we offend the Holy Maiden and she helps them against us, what do we do?"
She actually started crying.
"It's all my fault. If not for me, Ryan, you wouldn't have offended the Holy Maiden."
"Maybe you should marry her. Compared to uniting the wolf clans, my feelings don't matter."
Damien frantically wiped her tears, his voice urgent and comforting.
"Phoenix, what are you saying? I was reborn to marry you. Nothing matters more than you!"
