I was dragging two very large suitcases, which already made walking difficult.

I had no desire to stop and chat with him.

"Do you want me to have my driver give you a ride?"

"No, thank you."

I pulled away from his hand and continued on my way.

Julian grabbed my wrist. "Rosalie Moretti, why are you being so stubborn this time?"

"If you cry for me like you used to, maybe I'll feel sorry for you again."

I forcefully shook his hand off and looked at him calmly. "Julian, there's no need for that anymore."

No need to cry, and no need for his pity.
