If he had looked like this during our previous arguments, my heart would have softened, and I would have hugged him. But now, I just frowned in disgust and said coldly, "There's nothing to talk about. Get lost. I don't want to see you!"
He paused, as if he hadn't heard me, and picked up some joss paper. He lit it with a candle and tossed it into the burning barrel.
"Aidan! I told you to get lost!" I roared.
The flame licked his hand. He looked at his reddened skin, then turned back to me.
