The other assistants cheered, eager to join in.

I scrambled on my hands and knees, desperately trying to crawl toward the door.

I held my breath, too scared to move or scream, terrified that one slip of her hand would stab my belly.

The moment felt like an eternity of pure, hopeless dread.

Soon, my dress was in shreds, my skin exposed.

"Damn, you shameless bitch. No wonder you had the guts to go after Mr. Sterling. You've actually got the goods."

A crowd had gathered at the doorway.

The person tried to argue, but Jessica’s expression hardened.

That shut them up. The person hesitated, then backed away.
