After someone started it, the others noticed me and joined in the mocking.
“David, the rental fee for the car for one day, that must be three months of your salary, right? Why bother?”
“Didn't David just steal your dream girl? Why are you being so petty?”
“David, we're all former classmates, and I won’t blame you. You’re showing off the wrong thing. David’s wife is the CEO of Evergreen!”
The implication was clear: I was out of line.
My face went cold, and I was about to explain when David, wearing a mean face, squeezed over.
“Where did you rent this car from? It looks exactly like my wife’s car.”
“Wait, the license plate is the same?”
David looked more and more wrong, and suddenly punched me in the face.
“David, are you messing with my wife?”
“I wondered why Scarlett was always working late and not coming home! It turned out she was sleeping with you!”
“You are really a piece of work. You’re even driving my wife’s car to come to her and my wedding?”
David got angrier, and I was a little confused by his words and punches.
This car had always been my work car. I often lent it to Scarlett. When did it become her own?
“David, my sister can't be that kind of person, can she? You probably got it wrong.”
Some classmates tried to make excuses in embarrassment.
“Damn, I would recognize that car even if it was burned to ashes!”
David angrily pulled out his phone and showed the crowd photos.
They were intimate photos of him and Scarlett.
Some showed them kissing in the driver's seat.
In some, David was holding Scarlett, posing on the hood of the car.
I even saw a few pictures of a very intimate nature!
The license plate and details of the car did confirm that Scarlett was driving my car and messing around with David.
Everyone who was watching was stunned, and they started to support David.
“David, explain yourself?”
“From the beginning, I saw that you were off. I didn't think you were so rotten. You’re even sleeping with David's wife?”
David was also furious, pointing at my nose,
“No wonder you were reluctant to come to my wedding! You were afraid that the truth would be revealed!”
“I think you’re just jealous that I'm happy, right?”
Even the counselor glared at me with hatred,
“David, I'm ashamed that we went to school with someone like you!”
Insult after insult. Some people even held up their phones and took pictures while cursing me.
I shook my head and gave a cold laugh, picking up my broken glasses.
“Twisting the truth, not differentiating between black and white? David, is this how you are?”
David was dissatisfied, his eyes bulging.
“Go to hell! Sleeping with my wife, and then you're saying I'm not clear about right and wrong? You have no face!”
“Okay, so you are capable, aren't you? You drove my wife’s car to the scene, you clearly wanted to humiliate me, right?”
David rolled his eyes and sneered, pulling out the key and scratching the side of my Porsche.
“You dog bastard!”
The three words stung my eyes and my heart, and my voice couldn't help but become cold,
“Are you sure you can handle the price of writing those three words?”
