Chapter 1

After failing to win over my first three targets, I chose to get engaged to the paralyzed Sullivan heiress.

I used all my points to make her walk again.

But the first thing she did after recovering was cancel our engagement and give Sebastian Hayes a grand yacht wedding.

At the wedding ceremony, my four targets all gazed at Sebastian with tender eyes.

I suddenly wanted to go home, so I turned around and jumped straight into the ocean.

But as my body plunged into the sea, four figures dove after me at the same time, their faces filled with regret and fear.

......

On the yacht nearby, Sophia Sullivan in her wedding dress was kissing Sebastian Hayes blissfully.

Amid everyone's cheering, the system's mechanical voice echoed in my mind.

【Host has failed the mission. You will be eliminated in two weeks.】

A bitter smile crossed my lips.

After being reborn into this body, the system gave me four targets to pursue.

As long as any one of them reached 100% affection for me, my terminally ill body in the original world would recover.

All these years, I worked hard to win them over, lowering myself to the ground.

But every time their affection was about to max out, it would reset to zero because of Sebastian's appearance.

Now my last target was about to marry Sebastian too.

With this thought, I resolutely walked to the deck's edge and threw myself into the sea.

The seawater wrapped around my body as I spread my arms, letting myself sink to the ocean floor.

Just then, a figure dragged my body toward the surface.

Fresh air rushed back into my lungs. Before I could react, a heavy slap landed on my face.

"You deliberately picked Sebastian's wedding to jump into the ocean. Are you trying to disgust all of us on purpose?"

I wiped the blood from my lips, looking at the disgust in her eyes as pain stabbed through my heart.

Christine Morrison, my sister, was also my first target in this world.

After this body's parents died, Christine and I depended on each other.

When the car accident happened, I didn't hesitate to shield her with my body, ending up in the ICU with internal bleeding.

She held me and cried, saying no matter what happened, she would always protect me.

She said we were each other's only family in this world.

But on the day I was discharged, I saw her bringing Sebastian home, saying he would be our little brother from now on.

She let Sebastian move into my room and allowed him to torture and kill my dog that I'd raised for eight years.

In every argument between Sebastian and me, she always took his side, blaming me for being petty as the older brother.

The ninety-seven points I'd spent eight years accumulating, Sebastian took away in just one week.

Since then, Christine's affection for me kept dropping, and she refused to acknowledge me as her brother in public.

Seeing me sitting motionless on the ground, Christine pulled out a bottle of heart medication from her bag and threw it at me.

"Going to fake a heart attack again? Take your pills and get out of here!"

I didn't actually have heart disease.

The chest pains before were punishments from the system, and Christine, worried about me, always carried medication.

But now, with no warmth left in my heart, I grabbed the bottle and poured a handful of white pills into my mouth.

Christine froze for a moment, then screamed and knocked the pills from my hand.

The medication scattered as she gripped my wrist tightly, her voice shaking.

"Connor, are you insane!"

I wasn't insane. I just wanted to go home and say goodbye to my real sister.

I remained silent. Christine glared at me.

Seeing more and more guests gathering around, she impatiently ordered her bodyguards to take me off the yacht.

Just as I stepped onto the deck, I heard the sound of high heels behind me.

The next second, a sweet voice called out.

"Connor, what are you doing here?"

"Oh my, why are you all wet?"

I turned to look at Sophia Sullivan, the woman who almost walked down the aisle with me, my heart bitter.

So she still cared about me, right?
