Fifty-seven percent of registered voters said they hold a favorable view of Biden while 46 percent say they have an unfavorable view of the former vice president.
By contrast, 47 percent of respondents said they have a favorable view of Trump compared to 53 percent said they view the president unfavorably.
Ninety-two percent of Democratic voters said they view Biden favorably while 55 percent of independent voters and 18 percent of Republican voters said the same.
Eighty percent of Republican respondents said they view Trump favorably.
Forty-three percent of independents and 17 percent of Democrats agreed.
The Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 2,825 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 1.84 percentage points.
