The Asean Lifestyle Week (ALW) which was first launched in 2018 intends to help businesses within the lifestyle industry build business relationships across their own borders. The ALW is a platform for the promotion of Asean lifestyle brands.

Organized by the Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) with the support of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the event is the first of its kind. It presents an opportunity for entrepreneurs, buyers, sellers, and investors from ASEAN and beyond to convene under one roof and build networks.

This year, ALW is back and is poised to be bigger and more exciting with an expected visitor turnout of 20,000 and more than 15 participating countries. Here’s what ALW 2019 will offer:

Similar to the ALW last year, the ALW2019 will attract the best brands from various categories
within the Asean Lifestyle Industry. Visitors can look forward to interacting with companies offering the latest in medical support services and the future of personal care associated within the lifestyle sector.

With 5G technology the latest technology to hawk the headlines across the world, digital apps developed in the region will be presented to visitors to give them a glimpse of the future
especially for ASEAN.

Other sectors that will be well presented include ready to wear apparel, craft and souvenir items, the latest in fashion, educational programs, and home living.

To provide business owners tools for international brand positioning.

Expanding a business beyond its borders would the goal of most businesses, but it can be
difficult if not challenging next step. In hopes of encouraging entrepreneurs to take the next step, ALW has set up a facilitation corner to provide advisory, guidance and consultancy for business owners who are considering international brand positioning through franchising or joint venture partnerships.

Along with the exhibition and facilitation corner, there will be a half-day forum and various fire-chat sessions across the 3 days. Topics include crucial business related issues, opportunities and challenges, attracting angel investors, and understanding the role of government in business facilitation.

Panellist include successful personalities from business corporations, government agencies, and think tanks.
